Plain Boiled Rice
- 2 cup of rice (most common is American long grain)
- Same amount of water
- ½ tsp of vegetable oil
How to cook
- Wash and rinse rice thoroughly.
- Place rice into saucepan and add water.
- Bring to boil, add oil.
- Reduce heat to very low, cover and cook for a further 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat but keeping pan covered, leave to stand for approx. 10 minutes.
- Loosen rice and serve.
Remember safety in the kitchen, never leave heating oil unattended
